Zenger takes home Refuge Volunteer of Year Award

MEDINA — As a volunteer, Carl Zenger gets up at 5:30 a.m. each day to head to the Iroquois National Wildlife Refuge.

That early start time contributed to the Lockport resident’s over 45,000 hours of volunteer service to the refuge, the National Wildlife Refuge Association said this week.
