BATON ROUGE, La. (Louisiana First) -- A long-vacant call center on Florida Boulevard will soon get new life as United Christian Faith Ministries, Inc. finalizes its purchase of the 140,822-square-foot property for $2.6 million.

A news release said the site, located near O’Neal Lane and Central Thruway, was sold by Direct Administration, Inc. to the Baton Rouge-based church led by Pastor Mark Ellis. The sale marks the end of a multiyear effort by SRSA Real Estate to find the right buyer and use for the property.

Barry Spizer of SRSA’s New Orleans office, Jeanne Bourgeois Avant of SRSA’s Baton Rouge office, and Tim Reynolds of CBRE’s Chicago office handled the sale.
