LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) - Alcohol is suspected to be a contributing factor in a rollover crash on I-80 near the Greenwood exit Wednesday night.
Cass County Sheriff’s deputies responded to the two-vehicle crash at 8:43 p.m. and found a Hyundai Elantra overturned.
Deputies spoke with the driver, a 36-year-old Lincoln man, who the sheriff’s office says admitted to drinking alcohol before the crash.
Witnesses told deputies the Elantra hit the back of a semi-trailer traveling in the same direction, causing the Elantra to overturn and come to rest on its roof near the edge of the roadway.
The driver was taken to a hospital with minor injuries. The crash remains under investigation.
