VANCOUVER, Wash. — Police are investigating after an alleged impaired driver crashed into another car near a "No Kings" protest in east Vancouver.

Around 1 p.m., a car traveling west in the 15300 block of Southeast Mill Plain Boulevard rear-ended another car, pushing it onto the sidewalk.

A pedestrian who had been trying to get out of the way fell, sustaining minor injuries, and was examined by medical personnel at the scene.

No one was hospitalized, and no protesters were hit by any cars, the Vancouver Police Department said.

The driver, Jason Miller, had been driving recklessly before the crash, police said. He has been arrested on suspicion of DUI and reckless driving.
