PORTSMOUTH, Va. — The Twisted Crab restaurant in Portsmouth will be closed for an undetermined length of time after a fire on Sunday.

Portsmouth emergency crews were called to the scene about 11:15 a.m. about a smell of smoke inside the restaurant in the 4000 block of Victory Boulevard, near the Victory Crossing Shopping Center, according to Portsmouth Fire Rescue and Emergency Services.

Crews responded and found heavy smoke coming from the building. All employees were accounted for and had evacuated the building.

Crews found heavy fire in the ceiling and marked the fire under control at 12:22 p.m.

The Portsmouth Fire Marshal’s Office is investigating. Nobody was injured.
