MASHANTUCKET, Conn. (WTNH) — An incident involving restrained individuals in a hotel room at Foxwoods Resort Casino Monday has been "safely resolved," and a person is in custody, Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Nation police said.

Around 2:20 p.m., they issued a statement saying their team was able to enter the Fox Tower room without further incident, and that a person is in custody.

"We thank members of our Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Nation Police Department and the joint efforts of local and state agencies for their professionalism and quick action to resolve this matter," the police department's statement reads.

The person in custody has not been identified, according to police.

Casino leaders also released a statement, in part saying normal operations have resumed on the property.
