TUCSON, Ariz. (KVOA) - An armed robbery suspect was arrested over the weekend following a coordinated response by the Pima County Sheriff's Department.
The suspect, wearing gloves and a mask while armed with a gun, entered a business near East Sahuarita Road and South Houghton Road. He reportedly forced the victim to open a cash register and safe before stealing around $2,500, PCSD said.
Deputies, assisted with information from the victim, identified the suspect and his vehicle. The PCSD surveillance aircraft located the vehicle, leading deputies to a property where the suspect attempted to flee on foot but was quickly arrested.
The stolen money, the gun used in the incident and additional evidence were recovered by deputies. The suspect now faces multiple felony charges and is held at
