Costumes & Visibility

Purchase only flame-resistant costumes and accessories.

Keep costumes short to help prevent trips and falls.

Choose makeup instead of masks when possible — masks can obstruct a child’s vision, especially when crossing streets or climbing stairs.

Use light-colored costumes and/or apply reflective tape to costumes and trick-or-treat bags.

Equip all children and escorts with flashlights with fresh batteries.
