MANCHESTER, N.H. —

A newly released Samuel Adams beer will not be available for sale in the Granite State because it is illegal.

Samuel Adams Utopias 2025, the 14th release of the barrel-aged beer, has 30% alcohol by volume, which the company said is the highest in Utopias history.

New Hampshire law limits beer beverages to 12% ABV. The beer is also illegal in 14 other states, including Vermont.

The beer is available for a suggested retail price of $240 per 24.5-ounce bottle, according to the company.
