CLARKSBURG, W.Va. (WBOY) — October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and the United States Postal Service is offering a breast cancer awareness stamp to benefit breast cancer-related causes.

On Thursday, the Clarksburg post office on Emily Drive took an extra step to support the cause by hosting a lobby event.

The lobby event was held to spread breast cancer awareness and promote the stamp that goes to benefit breast cancer awareness causes. Cupcakes and gift bags were passed out to those who have been affected by breast cancer awareness.

James Smith, postmaster at the Emily Drive post office, spoke about what the cause means to the staff.

"The supervisor and I both have somebody in our lives that has breast cancer, so we like to do it. You know, it's special to us," Smith said.
