UNION COUNTY, N.M. (KAMR/KCIT) — The New Mexico Department of Health Farmers Market Nutrition Program has partnered with local farmers and food banks to deliver 10,000 pounds of fresh produce to more than 800 families in Harding and Union counties this week.

According to NMDOH officials, the program partnered with the Santa Fe Farmers Institute, The Food Depot food bank, and Golden Spread food pantry to provide fresh produce to families. Officials added that the Food Depot provided transport support when the load exceeded the capacity of NMDOH's new refrigerated truck.
