MENDON, Ill. -- Unity-Payson quarterback Sawyer Allen and the Mustangs laid it all on the line with a postseason berth at stake.

The game was an instant classic, a shootout that saw the Mustangs fall just short to Greenfield-Northwestern 47-44.

Two-point conversions proved to be the difference in the game, with Unity-Payson converting four out of six attempts and Greenfield-Northwestern converting all six attempts.

"It was another back and forth game like we had last week," said Mustangs head coach Matt Woodworth. "The offense did very well. We moved up and down the field most of the game."

There were eight different lead changes throughout the game with the Tigers holding a 23-22 lead going into halftime after the two teams traded scores late in the second quarter.
