NEW MEXICO (KRQE) – Mostly clear skies, dry air, and light winds have led to another seasonably chilly start across the region despite fog in eastern areas. Below-freezing temperatures are confined to some areas to the north through western areas, while everywhere else from central areas of the Rio Grande Valley to the southeast is mostly ranging from the upper 30s to the 50s.

More sunshine today with calmer winds will be in store as a faster current in the jet stream, that brought some clouds yesterday, moves eastward through New Mexico. Above-normal high temperatures will mostly range in the 60s to the 80s, except for highly-elevated communities to the north not getting out of the upper 50s.
