AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) - The Richmond County Sheriff’s Office is reminding drivers to take steps to prevent car break-ins after multiple reports in the past week.
There were multiple break-ins early Wednesday at an apartment complex in west Augusta.
Then another case of multiple break-ins happened late Friday in south Augusta’s Goshen neighborhood.
In the most recent incident, deputies responded around 11 p.m. Friday to reports of several vehicles being entered in the area of the 1600 block of Goshen Road.
Deputies reviewed nearby surveillance footage, which showed multiple suspects attempting to break into vehicles. They then searched the surrounding area and located a gray Hyundai Elantra parked suspiciously nearby, authorities say.
