FOREST PARK, Ga. — The City of Forest Park reported a collapsed road in a residential neighborhood on Monday.

According to a city Instagram post, officials are on site to address the collapse of a small section of roadway at Longleaf Drive and Pine Creek Road.

The area is generally off of Morrow Road, with residents at the end of Longleaf Drive or along Pinecreek Road, Cedar Circle and White Pine Drive potentially impacted.

Photos posted to Instagram showed the street buckled in and cracked into sections.

The road collapse occurred as heavy rain has drenched metro Atlanta on Monday.

The Instagram post stated:

Crews from the city’s Public Works Department are currently responding to a collapsed roadway at Longleaf Drive and Pine Creek Road.
