CLEVELAND, Ohio (WOIO) - At House of David Church in Cleveland, Pastor Timothy Tyler is praying for a working elevator.
“To keep getting the phone calls, is the elevator fixed? Is the elevator fixed? What are we doing? How are we going to get in?” said Tyler.
He said the only way to the second-floor sanctuary is the stairs. The church has an elevator, but it’s been in constant need of repairs since June.
“There was a situation where one mother just couldn’t make it down, and we had to put her in a wheelchair and pallbearer her down the stairs,” said Tyler.
The church raised and paid thousands of dollars to get it fixed by Arrow Lift. They’ve shelled out more than $12,000 of the $14,000 bill.
In the signed paperwork, it says a 25% deposit is required, and the rest of the balance is due
