FALL RIVER, Mass. (WLNE) — The Medical Examiner determined the man killed during a gunfight with police in July of 2025 died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound, according to the Bristol County District Attorney’s Office.
The Medical Examiner determined 38-year-old Domonick Knight’s manner of death as a suicide.
Around 1:30 a.m. officers responded to multiple calls from family members reporting a man was “expressing suicidal ideations” and possessed a firearm.
Police immediately secured the area and began evacuating residents in the area and family members inside the house .
Around 2:25 a.m., a crisis negotiator responded and attempted to communicate with Knight through phone calls, text messages, and a loudspeaker, but the attempts were unsuccessful, police said.
