ANKENY, Iowa —

Ankeny residents will vote next Tuesday on a $130 million bond to fund the expansion of academic, extracurricular, and sports facilities in the school district. Ankeny schools communications chief Samantha Aukes said the school district's future is now in the hands of voters, with the bond referendum financing upgrades across the school system. The crown jewel is a planned $80 million building called an Innovation Hub, which would be built next to Northview Middle School and offer career, technical, and other specialized programming to more than 700 students, including agriculture and health sciences.
