Yes, the phrase “6 7” — pronounced by kids far and wide as “six SEHV-un” — was crowned this week as Dictionary.com’s Word of the Year.
“6 7 shows the speed at which a new word can rocket around the world as a rising generation enters the global conversation,” Dictionary.com wrote in its announcement.
Tell a tween or teen that 6 7 has earned this distinction, and they’re likely to say something like:
