LW's Bierstube in Inver Grove Heights closed its doors on Thursday, Oct. 30, following more than four decades of serving German food and drinks to the community.

In a message to diners on Facebook, ownership says it has decided to sell the business.

"We consider ourselves very blessed and fortunate to have served you and this community over the last 42 YEARS!!!" reads the message, signed by the Yanz family.

"We wouldn't be more grateful for your amazing loyalty, friendship, and support!"

While the Inver Grove Heights location at 6434 E Cahill Ave. has closed, the company will continue to operate its restaurants in Oakdale, Hastings, and Red Wing.
