FARGO, N.D. (KFYR) - No. 18 Youngstown State holds a distinction that no other team that has faced No. 1 North Dakota state does: the Penguins lost to the Bison in a one-score game. NDSU defeated Youngstown State by eight. The smallest margin of victory the Bison had before this week came against Illinois State. The Bison won that game by 17.
While Cole Payton didn’t find the end zone with his arm, Barika Kpeenu rushed for three touchdowns on the ground.
Close results aside, the Bison remain undefeated at 9-0. NDSU travels North to Grand Forks next week to face North Dakota. THe Fighting Hawks lost this week to South DakoTA.
