BISMARCK, N.D. (KFYR) - Sunday is the anniversary of North Dakota’s admission to the Union in 1889.
The North Dakota Heritage Center and State Museum celebrated the occasion. It is part of a much larger campaign to celebrate 250 years since the signing of the Declaration of Independence.
Guests could enjoy music and history all at once, with performers like Chuck Suchy and educational booths.
“I think it’s a good reminder to us all of what a great blessing it is to live in the United States of America in a state like North Dakota, which... it doesn’t get any better,” said Bill Peterson, director of the State Historical Society.
