A man has appeared in court charged with the murder of a woman who was found dead following a flat fire in Dundee.
Emergency crews raced to Byron Street on Friday October 31 at around 7.25am after receiving reports of a property on fire. The blaze was extinguished and the body of 37-year-old Natalie Egan was discovered inside.
Callum Miller, 26, of Dundee, appeared at Dundee Sheriff Court today charged with murder , two counts of theft and the theft of a motor vehicle.
He made no plea and was remanded in custody. He is expected to appear in court again within the next eight days.
Police said the NHS worker's death was being treated as murder following a post-mortem examination. Her family are being supported by specially trained officers.
