SAN ANGELO, Texas (Concho Valley Homepage) — A local nonprofit organization is seeking help from volunteers in placing American flags on the graves of veterans buried at one of San Angelo's most historic cemeteries ahead of Veterans Day, according to the City of San Angelo.
In a social media post published on Nov. 3, the City stated that the Friends of Fairmount Cemetery group "is seeking volunteers to help honor local veterans by placing American flags on their graves ahead of Veterans Day."
Volunteers are asked to gather at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 9, inside the cemetery, located at 1100 W Avenue N.
