PIKE CO., Ind. (WFIE) - Indiana Department of Transportation officials say the speed limit is going up on State Road 56 near Petersburg.
According to a press release, they say it will go from 45 to 50 miles-per-hour between the Pike County line and just west of Petersburg.
Officials say a traffic study found there’s less traffic along that stretch of road.
The speed limit change is scheduled to happen on Tuesday.
