The National Weather Service issued a wind advisory at 1:03 p.m. on Tuesday valid from Wednesday 1 p.m. until Thursday 1 a.m. for Niagara, Orleans, Monroe, Wayne, Cayuga, Oswego, Jefferson, Lewis, Erie, Genesee, Wyoming, Livingston, Ontario, Chautauqua, Cattaraugus and Allegany counties.
The weather service describes, "West winds 25 to 35 mph with gusts up to 50 mph expected."
"Gusty winds will blow around unsecured objects. Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result," describes the weather service. "Use extra caution when driving, especially if operating a high profile vehicle. Secure outdoor objects."
