VISALIA, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) – One person is dead after he was hit by a car in Visalia on Tuesday night.

Police say it happened around 5:45 p.m. at the intersection of Mooney Boulevard and Feemster Avenue in Central Visalia.

The circumstances that led up to the crash have not been released; officers say the man who was hit was taken to a local hospital, where he later died.

Mooney Boulevard south of Tulare Avenue will be temporarily closed while investigators inspect the scene.
