An American fugitive who faked his own death and fled to Glasgow has been jailed for a second time for rape.
Nicholas Rossi was found to have attacked a woman in Utah in 2008. The 38-year-old will serve at least 10 years in jail after the judge in the second case today imposed an additional sentence of between five years and life in prison.
The fugitive sex attacker was arrested in December 2021 while a Covid patient at the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital. Staff identified his distinctive tattoos from an Interpol "wanted" notice.
Rossi, however, claimed to be an Irish-born orphan called Arthur Knight who had never been to America - leading to a worldwide fascination with his case, reports the Record .
Just weeks ago he was sentenced to five years to life over the first of two
