With recent cuts to the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), many families who relied on the program are left worried about keeping food accessible and affordable. Nickel's Pit BBQ is lending a helping hand to fight food insecurity worries in the community by offering free meals.

The local barbecue restaurant announced it will be offering free meals this Sunday, November 9th, at both of its locations.

The hours & location of the locations are: • Watkins Glen: 207 N Franklin St, Watkins Glen, NY 14891. They are handing out meals from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. • Corning: 20 E Market St, Corning, NY 14830. They'll be giving out the meals from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.
