CINCINNATI (WXIX) - A person is seriously injured after being shot in South Fairmount, according to the Cincinnati Police Department.

The shooting happened at 2524 Hansford Place Wednesday evening.

Police say the victim is a 24-year-old man who was shot in the back and in the head.

Police say the injuries are life-threatening and the victim is in surgery at the University of Cincinnati Medical Center.
