Gun homicides and gun-related incidents are down in Akron and Summit County, reaching levels not seen since before the COVID-19 pandemic. This data reflects national gun crime statistics from the Pew Research Center , which shows gun homicides nationwide are back to pre-pandemic levels but trending up since the mid-2000s.
