CLEVELAND — He'll always be our "Top Dawg."
The Greater Cleveland Sports Commission announced Thursday that Browns legend Hanford Dixon will be honored with its Lifetime Achievement Award in February at the Greater Cleveland Sports Awards. Dixon will be just the third ex-Browns player to receive the award, and the first since Bernie Kosar back in 2013.
"Whether on the field, in the community, or uplifting those in need, Hanford Dixon exemplifies what it means to be a true leader—both as a Cleveland Browns legend and as a champion for positive change," the GCSC said in a statement.
Dixon spent his entire NFL career in Cleveland from 1981-89, solidifying himself as one of the league's best cornerbacks during that stretch. A three-time All-Pro, his 26 interceptions place him tied for 10t
