Plow Tracker: See where roads are being cleared, check conditions with in

After this weekend’s first widespread snowfall, plows were out clearing the roads across both peninsulas. Some areas had more plows working than we normally see in November.

How do we know? Because the handy Michigan Department of Transportation’s MiDrive map will show you where roads are being plowed, and gives you a look at road conditions with the nifty in-plow cameras.

When the weather is dicey, we love to check this online mapping system before we head out the door - or head home at the end of a workday. It gives you a good idea if you’ll face any slow-downs.

As for the snow plows themselves, MiDrive can show you where state and contracted county plows are working to clear snow between you and your destination, and how many plows are on the road.
