Georgians waiting for food assistance will see some relief Tuesday. SNAP recipients will receive up to 65% of their normal benefits, according to the Georgia Department of Human Services (DHS).

The more than 1.4 million Georgians — about one in eight residents — relying on food stamps, are expected to receive benefits according to the normal schedule for the rest of November.
