ST. LOUIS, Mo. (First Alert 4) - A Chilean man has admitted to a “cross-country crime spree” resulting in thousands being stolen from people across St. Louis.
On Thursday, Rene Arviso Velasquez, 51, admitted to a “cross-country crime spree” that resulted in thousands of dollars being stolen, according to a release by the U.S. Attorney’s Office. In his admission, he said he stole at least $47,000 from people across the St. Louis region and country.
Velasquez has been charged with three counts of device fraud and one count of aggravated identity theft. This comes in connection to what is being described as “cross-country credit card theft expeditions.”
