EAST POINT, Ga. — The City of East Point on Sunday morning reported a crash that had taken out a power pole.
The crash caused an outage for a time, though it appeared resolved -- according to Georgia Power's outage map -- by mid-morning.
The city's post on Facebook reporting the crash did not have details on when or how it might have happened. It was unclear if the driver or anyone else was injured.
In an update after 8 a.m., the city said: "Crews have set the pole and are currently working on transferring the lines. Thank you for your continued patience. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and appreciate your understanding as we work to restore power as quickly as possible."
