A body has been found in the search for a missing German tourist who vanished after visiting the Isle of Skye with plans to climb a mountain.
Matthias Beutin was last seen at Blaven car park, near Loch Slapin, at around 11.30am on Thursday, October 9. The 57-year-old was planning to climb Bla Bheinn but hadn't been in contact with family since, reports The Record.
A multi-agency search mission was launched to trace him - however, over a month on from his disappearance, police have sadly confirmed that a body has been found near Coire Dubh, in Blaven.
The grim discovery was made at around 2.15pm on Saturday, November 8. The death is being treated as "unexplained" but is not believed to be suspicious.
