The police wrote on X, "Road Closure 1450hrs | Wharf Street South in Leicester City is closed between the Crafton Street West junction and the Eldon Street junction. Please avoid this area. Thank you." The army's Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) unit has been called to assist local officers in ensuring public safety. As the situation develops, authorities are maintaining a strong presence in the area and advising residents and motorists to steer clear of the vicinity until further notice.
