CHARLOTTE, N.C. (WBTV) - Hundreds of students across Charlotte held school walkouts Tuesday morning to protest Border Patrol.

The demonstrations took place on Tuesday, Nov. 18, in nearly every corner of Mecklenburg County. A list of several protest locations is provided below.

East Meck High School

Philip O. Berry Academy

Ballantyne Ridge High School

Northwest School of the Arts

Students left class, protesting the detentions and deportations happening in many parts of the city amid Operation Charlotte’s Web.

“I think this is a direct contact for students to be able to say something and voice their opinion in a positive way,” said parent Portia Jones.
