DULUTH, Minn. (Northern News Now) - We’re learning more about the financial troubles involving Community Action Duluth and the subsequent resignation of several of the organization’s board members.
For more than a week, Northern News Now has reported on the allegations of financial mismanagement facing CAD.
Now, Northern News Now has obtained a pile of documents showing the scope of money trouble plaguing the group.
The documents include a list of CAD’s unpaid bills, which total more than $120,000.
According to the papers, that money is owed to individuals, farms, local colleges, hospitals, law firms and other organizations.
While some of the debt goes back to last year, most of it began to pile up this summer.
