PHOENIX – The Valley is in for another day of scattered showers, isolated thunderstorms and possible flooding on Wednesday.

Rain fell across much of the Phoenix area during the overnight and morning hours, leaving roadways wet for commuters.

“We have a weather system that’s still kind of positioned over Southern California, and that’s bringing a lot of moisture up and just causing periodic showers and maybe even some isolated thunderstorms. So, today, we’re looking at just rainy weather,” Chris Kuhlman of the National Weather Service (NWS) in Phoenix told KTAR News 92.3 FM on Wednesday morning.

The storms have the potential to produce intermittent showers throughout the day and potentially into Thursday morning.
