SUTTER COUNTY, Calif. — The Sutter County Sheriff's Office has been awarded two significant grants from the California Office of Traffic Safety, aimed at enhancing road safety and improving traffic data reporting.

The first grant, totaling over $110,000, will bolster the Sheriff's Office's ongoing efforts in traffic enforcement and education. According to the California Office of Traffic Safety , this initiative is designed to reduce serious injuries and fatalities on local roads through September 2026.

“We are grateful to receive this grant, which will strengthen our traffic enforcement efforts and improve road safety,” said Lt. Gill. The funds will support DUI checkpoints, distracted driving enforcement, and operations targeting dangerous driving behaviors.
