JENISON, MI -- An SUV smashed through a glass wall at a Jenison Dollar Tree store and continued into the store, injuring the driver and a store patron.
The crash happened about 10:45 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 20 at in the 7500 block of Cottonwood Drive.
Ottawa County sheriff’s deputies said an 84-year-old Wyoming man was driving a Ford Explorer and was involved in a crash with an unoccupied vehicle in the parking lot.
He was waiting for deputies to arrive to take a report, but then pulled forward and drove through one of the store’s large front windows.
Several Dollar Tree employees and shoppers were inside the store.
The driver had injuries not considered life-threatening. A patron had minor injuries from debris, police said.
Both were taken to a hospital for treatment.
