NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) - A Middle Tennessee family is entering the holiday season without a home after a fire consumed their house this week.
The fire happened Monday in Hickman County. The East Hickman Volunteer Fire Department reported that crews responded to a home and garage fire “with potential entrapment and rapid expansion to additional structural exposures/residences.”
Firefighters were able to prevent the flames from spreading and no injuries were reported, but the department said the home and its contents are “a total loss.”
Photos of the aftermath show complete destruction: blackened walls, pictures curled inward due to the heat, a white crib covered in soot and a home exposed to the elements after flames burned through ceilings and walls.
