McDonald's will launch "The Grinch Meal" in December 2025.

Instead of Whoville's famous "roast beast," The Grinch is serving up some fast food for the holidays.

McDonald's unveiled "The Grinch Meal" on Thursday, Nov. 20. The meal will include Dill Pickle "Grinch Salt" McShaker Fries, served with a Big Mac or 10-piece Chicken McNuggets, along with a medium drink.

Customers can shake the dill-pickle seasoning over their fries for a tangy twist. The meal, which launches on Monday, Dec. 2, also gives fans a pair of Grinch-themed holiday socks, decorated with messages from Dr. Seuss' iconic Christmas character.

McDonald's shared a "handwritten message" from the misunderstood green curmudgeon who lives on top of Mt. Crumpit in the book and movies.

"THiS iS MY MEAL AND i DiDN'T PARTNER WiTH McDONALD'S OUT OF THE GOODNESS OF MY HEART," The Grinch said. "i SAW AN OPPORTUNiTY TO BRiNG MiSCHiEF TO YOUR BELOVED 'RESTAURANT' WiTH MY DELiCiOUS CHAOS FOR THE HOLiDAYS AND i TOOK iT. SO GO AHEAD, GRAB MY MEAL STARTING DEC. 2 – YOU'RE WELCOME FOR MAKiNG YOUR HOLiDAYS iNFiNiTELY MORE iNTERESTiNG."

The Grinch Meal caps off a year of major promotions for McDonald's as it works to spark sales while Americans eat at restaurants less often. The fast-food chain previously teamed up with Pokémon and Minecraft, brought back its popular Monopoly game, revived Uncle O'Grimacey to promote Shamrock Shakes, and released adult Happy Meals inspired by classic McDonaldland characters.

McDonald's has also made several menu changes, including the new McValue Menu in January and July's highly anticipated return of the Snack Wrap, which briefly caused lettuce shortages. The company also ended a disappointing doughnut partnership with Krispy Kreme.

After its first-quarter sales fell to their lowest point since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic, McDonald's has experienced a bounceback. In the third quarter, global same-store sales increased 3.6%.

US same-store sales also rose 2.4% in Q3.

"We're fueling momentum by delivering everyday value and affordability, menu innovation, and compelling marketing that continue to bring customers through our doors," said CEO Chris Kempczinski.

Walmart is also using characters inspired by "How the Grinch Stole Christmas!" to promote its Black Friday deals.
