A Casa Grande man suspected of setting fire to a Jewish synagogue was indicted on a federal charge of obstructing religious beliefs , indicating authorities view the blaze as a hate crime.
Everardo Gregorio, 31, faces up to 20 years in prison and a $250,000 fine for the March 3 fire at Khal Chasidim. He has a decade of prior contact with the criminal justice system in Pinal County, court records show.
