BOISE, Idaho — The Ada County Coroner's Office has identified a man who police said was found dead in a Boise hotel early Thursday morning.
Authorities said 40-year-old Abel Garcia Jr. was pronounced dead within a hotel on the 2500 block of Sunrise Rim Road in Boise around 3 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 21 after lifesaving measures were unsuccessful.
Garcia's cause and manner of death are listed as pending in the coroner's report Friday morning.
Boise Police report that the suspect, identified as 36-year-old Brian Jones, had told police he performed an "assisted suicide" on the victim, which is illegal in Idaho.
