LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Kentucky State Police is ramping up traffic enforcement in the Louisville area, citing one day this week when troopers executed 63 traffic stops.
KSP Post 4 (Elizabethtown) increased traffic enforcement in Jefferson County in an effort to promote safe driving, according to a KSP news release.
On Nov. 19, troopers executed 63 traffic stops, 27 speeding citations, seven seat belt citations, six move-over violations and 14 courtesy notices.
Troopers issued a total of 177 charges, including multiple drug-related offenses, and arrested four people with outstanding warrants. One person was arrested for possession of a handgun by convicted felon and receiving a stolen firearm, which had been reported stolen in the Louisville Metro area.
