BBC Breakfast announced some heartbreaking news earlier today (November 21) after hosts broke the news a guest star has been diagnosed with terminal cancer.

Naga Munchetty and Charlie Stayt introduced a speaker on the show, Danny Burkey, who was told he has terminal prostate cancer.

Before playing a pre-recorded clip of Danny on the show, Naga opened the segment: "Now, prostate cancer is the most common cancer in men, with around 63,000 cases diagnosed in the UK every year.

"A major screening trial has begun, which aims to find the best way to detect the disease."
