NEW LONDON, Conn. (WFSB) - The intersection of Broad Street and Hempstead Street will be closed to vehicle traffic beginning Monday.
The four-way intersection closure is expected to last up to six weeks, according to city officials.
City officials strongly encourage commuters and residents to use GPS navigation apps such as Waze or Google Maps for up-to-date detour information and real-time routing adjustments throughout the duration of the work.
The closure is necessary to complete emergency stabilization work at the Second Congregational Church property.
For more information about the closure, contact the New London Parking Authority at (860) 443-1775.
